About the Author
Aaron Baker is the winner of the 2007 Katharine Bakeless Nason Prize for poetry, selected by Stanley Plumly and awarded by Middlebury College and the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference. A former Wallace Stegner Fellow, Baker
received his MFA at the University of Virginia. His work has been previously
published in the Virginia Quarterly Review, Prairie Schooner, Post Road, and

A Moral Compass That Points to True North.

I bought "Heart of a Lion" because I'm a fan of military history and followed the books on Operation Red Wings. What I got was much more than another book about Navy SEALs.

"Heart of a Lion" is a much needed compass that points to the true north of integrity and honor. It challenges us to examine ourselves, our values and our motives. "Heart of a Lion" provides leadership lessons for Fortune 500 CEO's and teenagers trying to moderate the influences of peer pressure.

While the book is value and moral based it crosses boundaries sometimes established by specific texts that reference faith or religion. You won't get that here. Short but wonderful

I was hoping for a book that was a little longer (I did not read how many pages were in it when I bought it) but every page of it is well worth it. No extra "fluff" in this book, short and to the point. After each chapter there are blank lined pages for you to make notes on what you just read. I really enjoyed this as the book really had my brain turning and worked perfect for me to put my thoughts onto paper. I enjoyed the book so much I bought another and sent it to a friend. Highly recommend this for young and old.

A true leader

I am almost done with this book, and I think most people(myself included) could learn a lot about real leadership and integrity from Mike Murphy. Not boasting, helping those who are less popular, and admitting mistakes are things we should all do, and if I could I would make ALL members of congress read this and learn from a true man of honor.

This book is the most informative one I've seen or read that tells you how to do readings with regular playing cards. There is much to learn in this book so it will take me time to learn, but it will be well worth it. Great Book.

Great Intro

Simply put, this is the best book to buy if you are just beginning to learn about divination with playing cards. The book is very well written and the layout is perfect for both reading cover to cover or for referencing various sections. The main body of the text on the meanings of each card is organized by number. For example, the 4's are all together, then the 5's, and so on. Several methods are discussed by the author for divination including the Romany method of using only 32 cards, the Lenormand method, the full 52 card method, and so much more.

If this subject interests you, don't pass up this book. It is not only extremely useful but also very affordable at under ten bucks. Enjoy!
